E-Bike Customization: Brand, Components and Configuration

Choose what changes, understand what it affects, and build a specification that is ready for engineering review — not a vague promise to “customize anything.”

START WITH THE COMMITMENT

Three ways to make the product yours.

Most programmes begin with branding, then add component or structural changes only where the commercial case requires them.

01BRANDING

Make an existing platform unmistakably yours.

Logo, colour, packaging, manuals, accessories and selected digital touchpoints — without changing the vehicle architecture.

BEST FORMarket tests and faster launches
02COMPONENTS

Build the specification around your channel.

Select the motor, battery, drivetrain, brakes, display and supporting hardware around a target market and retail position.

BEST FORA defined price and performance target
03STRUCTURAL ODM

Develop a product competitors cannot source.

Move into frame geometry, dedicated tooling and bespoke housings when an existing platform no longer fits the brief.

BEST FORA defensible long-term product line

BRANDING

One platform.
A complete brand system.

Branding is treated as a controlled production specification: approved artwork, approved colour and repeatable application across the vehicle and delivery experience.

Electric bicycle ready for custom frame branding and colour specification
01 / VEHICLE IDENTITY

Logo, paint and finish.

02

Packaging

Carton, inner packaging, manuals and regulatory labels aligned to your route to market.

03

Digital touchpoints

Available display boot screens, serial-number logic, QR coding and white-label requirements.

04

Approval before production

Vector artwork and colour references are checked before the approved sample becomes the production standard.

COMPONENT SELECTION

Start with a tier.
Then tune the spec.

The tiers are commercial starting points, not locked packages. Upgrade the systems that create value in your channel and keep the rest disciplined.

COMPLETE VEHICLE

Configuration is more than a parts list.

Vehicle-level decisions are locked before the approved sample because they affect firmware, compliance, packaging and the receiving operation.

MARKET-LEGAL CONFIGURATION

The destination market changes the product.

Firmware, labels, equipment and documentation are fixed at the start of the programme, then verified against the agreed market route.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CAPABILITY

Move from concept to a controlled production product.

OEM/ODM support covers the work between a reference vehicle and a production-ready specification: design decisions, engineering review, supplier coordination, validation and launch support.

01

2D product definition

Turn use case, dimensions, key components, finish and commercial target into a clear product brief.

02

3D engineering review

Review architecture, interfaces, manufacturability and component packaging before a design direction is locked.

03

Prototype and validation

Use engineering, design and pilot builds to verify the intended product and production route.

04

Supply chain and after-sales

Coordinate approved components, controlled changes, spare-parts priorities and handover information.

PRODUCTION ROUTE

Where the order is built is also a configuration choice.

ENGINEERING

Wuxi, China

Product development, supply chain coordination and programme planning.

MANUFACTURING

Nantong, China

Vehicle production, assembly and quality control for international programmes.

We can start with very little. These inputs reduce the number of commercial and engineering assumptions in the first configuration.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask before the first sample.

01What is the difference between OEM and ODM at Mobimax?+

OEM starts with an existing Mobimax platform and adapts its brand, finish and available components. ODM develops a new product to the buyer's brief, including structural engineering, tooling and validation.

02Can we nominate our own motor, battery or display supplier?+

Yes. Customer-nominated systems can be reviewed for integration when the technical documentation and representative samples are available. The combination must still satisfy reliability and destination-market requirements.

03Can Mobimax support market certification?+

Yes. Certification planning can cover EU, US and Japan market routes. The applicable scope is fixed against the final vehicle configuration before testing begins.

04Can the same platform be configured for different markets?+

Yes, but firmware, labelling, equipment and documentation may differ by destination. Each market version is treated as a controlled configuration rather than a last-minute shipping change.

05Will components be substituted during production?+

Not without approval. A proposed equivalent is documented and reviewed before any change to critical systems such as the motor, cells, BMS, charger or brakes.
